9th IAS Conference on HIV Science (IAS 2017) in Paris

Dear media colleagues,

As you maybe aware, the 9th International Aids Symposium (IAS) kicks off from the 23rd to the 26th of July in Paris, France. The largest open scientific conference on HIV/Aids will bring together more than 6,000 professionals from around the world to meet and discuss the latest scientific developments in HIV-related research.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) will have a number of representatives from South Africa and around the world attending the conference and we have a number of abstracts and events lined up.

It is in this regard that we are reaching out to you to find out if you will be attending the conference. If you are attending, we are happy to connect you with our communications team in Paris so they can arrange interviews for you or provide content.

If you are not attending, we are still happy to share some abstracts and press releases on the main theme we are focusing on - Advanced HIV citing examples notably from Malawi, DRC and Guinea.

Vaccines are also very important in preventing and controlling infectious disease outbreaks.
